Smile...Smile...Smile... cont.

Whether it is bonding, laminate veneers or bleaching, the rejuvenation of a smile can be compared to the art of restoring a valuable painting. Often by lengthening the two front teeth or building out the back teeth to widen the smile, the dentists are able to take years off your look in the same way a facelift can. And speaking of plastic surgery, these cosmetic dentists work hand in hand with cosmetic facial surgeon Dr. Roger Katz who specializes in augmenting the lip and removing fine lines around the mouth.

So what's all this chatter about anyway? They'll both be the first to tell you that New York City is stocked with skilled dentists with high-profile practices. This modest duo plays down their star-studded dental group and refuse to divulge the names of their patients. (I did spot Paul Anka, fashion photographer Sante D'Orazio, his wife, model Kara Young and Def Jam's Russell Simmons in the waiting room.) Many times the faces found in their office are the same ones patients have pulled from the pages of fashion magazines as their source of inspiration for their "dream smile." But as Dr. Lowenberg preaches, "it's not about making the perfect smile. It's about making the smile perfect for the person's face." Personal style, lifestyle and facial structure are the building blocks for each patient's mouth. Generic isn't in these doctors' vocabulary—a cookie cutter nose is a dead giveaway on any face but a Lowenberg-Lituchy smile makeover is completely natural and undetectable.

Perhaps Courtney Cox, the star of NBC's "Friends" and a devotee of Dr. Lowenberg, said it best: "No one ever asks me who my dentist is but they will ask who cuts my hair or what
